I'm a portraitist. Therefore, I want to express my feelings through a portrait. A portrait of our proud and beautiful Ukraine, which, despite the blood and all shed tears, continues to be rebellious, brave and unbroken.

This portrait is about pain... mine and millions of other people who have known the nightmare of war. But also... this portrait is about resilience, about inner strength, about a look. About look that is full of determination and anger. About look whose flame cannot be quenched by loss, hardship, or grievous wounds. This strong and strong-willed maiden will endure and will stand. One day she will wipe tears, shake off the ashes from head, wash the dried blood from face. One day she will put on a magnificent wreath again and put on a white embroidery. And she will bloom and become even more beautiful!
